It is with great pride that Novus Health’s Montreal office has been awarded the Bronze level VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification by Vélo Québec and joins 27 communities and 70 organizations who are now certified. This distinction recognizes Novus Health’s commitment to developing its cycling culture and its efforts to promote active mobility.
In the past year, the Montreal team has implemented several initiatives to develop its cycling culture, promote the practice of bike-to-work for its employees and encourage the team to lead an active lifestyle. For example, employees now have access to the gym located in the building, promoting the practice of stationary cycling and providing access to showers for employees who wish to cycle to work. Many discussions between cyclists and future cyclists also help to maintain this culture of cycling. Such discussions also allow employees to encourage each other and share tips on safe practices.
The Novus Health team is proud to be part of an organization that supports such initiatives and places the well-being of its employees at the heart of its priorities. As a leader in health navigation in Canada, Novus Health encourages the adoption of healthy lifestyles, at home and at work.
The certification process: a process of continuous improvement
The communities or organizations that wish to join the VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE movement complete a comprehensive questionnaire aimed at portraying their initiatives in the four areas of intervention essential to the development of a true bicycle culture: Environment, Education, Incentives, Evaluation and Planning.
Thus, Novus Health has stood out by ensuring that everyone feels encouraged by a favorable working environment, while annually assessing the needs of the organization’s cyclists. In the coming year, Novus is committed to maintaining the efforts it has begun to continue supporting its employees.
